That's all great, but let's not get off-topic here! In fact, I think I'll start an INTELLIGENT (no meteors) in the fun and game topic, where we can start off hypothetical situations like this....

I randomly enter myself for this position.

Since I'm having a rather difficult time deciding, I made a test! The statistics i've went through will still be considered, so the highest score won't NECESSARILY decide it.

The test is all multiple choice, but you MUST PM your answers to me, do not post them here. In this test, pretend you are the supreme commander of a nation's military.

1. You have been asked to distract the enemy without destroying them. Which of the following is the best method to do so?

A. Threaten them.

B. Declare war.

C. Insert spies that deliberately reveal themselves.

D. Steal/destroy the enemy's resources(food, water, lumber, etc)


2. An enemy has just sent you a declaration of war. Which of the following is the best DEFENSIVE action?

A. Increase security around your villages, major cities, and borders.

B. Send a unit of soldiers to the enemy's territory, attacking small outposts, forts, and bases.

C. Send every able-bodied man to the enemy's territory, attacking every village and city they come across.

D. Insert spies into the enemy's military/government.


3. You have just found out that one of your most trusted men is an enemy spy, and they have certainly gathered a LOT of information. They have fled. What do you do?

A. Ignore it. Who cares what the enemy knows? They can NEVER win this war!

B. Change every piece of information possible, even tactics and your strategy.

C. Surrender.

D. Hunt down and kill the spy before it's too late. It's obvious where they are headed.


4. The enemy has broken through all of your defenses, and is headed towards the capital. What is the best course of action?

A. Send out the rest of your forces to intercept them. Good thing you kept most of them in the capital!

B. Surrender, then let your spies kill all of the government officials and military commanders once they drop their guard.

C. Relax, and let them come to you. Your men are rested and well-fed. The enemy forces are obviously tired and weak by now.

D. Send out a platoon of soldiers to sneak past the enemy forces and attack THEIR capital.


5. Your forces have invaded enemy territory, and are coming close to their largest and most active military base. The troops garrisoned in the base are quite large in number and are rested and obviously highly-trained. There is no turning back now; which is the most effective and efficient method of seizing the base?

A. Rush in and attack without warning.

B. Sneak around and attack from the opposite side.

C. Wait until they are asleep, then poison their food and water, and attack later.

D. Send one unit to distract the enemy, and then send the rest of your forces after they have been killed, when the enemy forces have their backs turned.

The way I see it these things don't exactly have 'wrong' answers. All of these tactics have a chance of working and failing. Some are just plain stupid however and have a higher chance of failure when contrasted to the others.

I would like to thank Saint for starting this. It has inspired me to start learning myself strategy, economy and warfare. I will never be better than him, but hopefully I'll be at least a little better than I'm now.

Don't forget, those people that did as badly as me, that this test is kinda really objective - it's more answerable to Saint's opinion as to what is the correct answer (and this can only be hypothetical). I suppose that this is useful if he's looking for someone with the same mindset as him, though.

Ha. I thought that too. In total, I wrote over 1,250 words...and got 40%
But, it was interesting; I had my opinions on what would work, and Saint had his. All there is to it. Hopefully, there won't be a point in time when we need to test it.

Yeah... kinda... but also consider what would have the best chance of working, given the limited knowledge you obviously have, since the questions don't give you full detailed explanations. And really, you didn't do so bad. The wrong answers you've chosen weren't really the WORST.
