Apprenticeship available!

If anyone is REALLY into learning more about strategy and tactics, and wants to become a decent strategist in their own right, now is your chance! I wll select ONE person that applies, and teach them, with the same methods I used to teach myself(Until recently, I thought I was born with raw talent)! It is a VERY hard, VERY long path. My potential is the product of YEARS of practice and training(again, didn't realize I was training myself until very recently). Anyone willing to give it a shot? :3

Yes i would like to apply for apprenticeship.

Saint, the road will be tough, it will be long and it will strain my mind...but im rdy. I joined EoT dreaming to be like u......now is my chance. I would be a good student, I would listen and contribute. I know there will be others, wanting this aswell......but i pray that it will be me. Mr Cooldude 999, Saints apprentice, i would hlp Requiem during the tough times with my new knowledge, but if u decided that this is not for me, plz, chose Seth, he has proved himself worthy.

Saint, I would LOVE to have one of the captains mentor me in either diplomatic or strategic ways of thinking. I am ready to commit myself to your training, and I do have a few missions in my belt. I don't think I do to bad, but often I find myself screwed b/c I did a hasty thing........but, it's your choice. I look up to all the captains, because of how hard and good you do your job. Now, before I sound any more like a suck-up, I think I'd better end this post! Remember, I would be HONORED!

Perhaps I should learn how you run things SoDa. My own methods are no longer fun and just leave me feeling worse then ever once I'm done with them.

Wow, I'm surprised that you are interested as well! Keep in mind that my methods are... strange. XD

Are you devising a test to single out your apprentice, or just picking the one that you feel will work best with you?

You'll be breaking a couple of people's hearts here, judging by some of the responses I've seen.

As well as an apprenticeship, why not have a weekly EoT thread that gives a short, sharp lesson/tip in strategy that outlines the best course of action in a certain situation. Nothing like what you'll do with the apprentice, but like a weekly column?(Saint's Strategies 4 N00bs, for example ^_^)

I was gonna do that right after Project Freelancer is finished. As for how I'm going to decide, I'm going to choose who I think has the best potential in the art of strategy. As for those that aren't picked, it's not like I'll think of them as idiots or anything like that, they simply do not have the potential. Of course, everyone is capable of different things :3 So... to those that have applied, if you aren't chosen, don't be upset. Not necessarily a bad thing if you aren't cut out to be a strategist. Hell, I'm terrible at almost everything else ._.

I am going through multiple statistics in my head to decide who my "apprentice" will be. It's a tough choice. :/

EDIT: the reson im appplying is that theres so many good diplomics and stragies out in the clan, like red,liz,saint and the other EoT members,And ithink im not a good squad mate and i would be glad to have a mentor

Everything he knows. For those that are interested, it would be good, right? But, Saint, I hope that having an apprentice doesn't mean you're planning to hang up your sword soon.

I won't be providing orthodox lessons... nothing like "you should do such-and-such a maneuver in this situation. After all, strategy is ever-changing, and a real strategist likes to have a lot of options, and likes to to stay ahead of the game as well

As for me leaving, yeah... someday. But not anytime soon. :3

Heh... I like them all. The thing is, the TRUE core of strategy is the mindset. If you don't have the right level and type of thinking, you chance of success if rather... slim. My training methods, while odd, are almost guaranteed to "bend" your mind into the mind of a true strategist :3
